Bring somebody with you when your drunk

If you are a sports fan then most likely you like to have a tall cold frosty beverage and you will pay whatever price at a sporting event.  Yes, beer at sports arenas are way to expensive but you're there and you will pay.  It's all part of the experience.  So you would think that people would be calm and enjoy the event and enviorment that they are a part of but that's not what always happens.  There are so many incidents that have happened.  People/fans have fallen to there death or gotten arrested or beat the crap out of a fellow spectator.  This should never happen and I will try and do my best to fix it.  I've always been very adamant about having a designated driver.  So my advice is when you go to a sporting event, church, bowling, funeral, wedding, thanksgiving dinner etc., always have a sober non-alcoholic external consultant.  In short, take with you a sober person you can trust.  This person should not judge if you get really drunk and they should be there to offer you advice that your mind can't provide for you when it is full of sweet, sweet beer.  If you have a person looking out for you that you trust things usually end well.  While watching sports you get very envolved in the event but when you get upset don't fight just have another beer and rely on you sober non-alcoholic external consultant. Go Beer!

Miller Lite Punch Top Can

When I first saw a commercial for this I was totally intrigued.  I love how beer companies compete with each other with new things.  Bud light with the can that you can write on,  Coors light with the blue indicator of ice cold, sounds very nice as a marketing tool, but then it hit me just make good beer and it will sale.  The concept behind the punch top can is to create an easier flow of the beer while you're drinking it.  In my old school day of drinking we would punch a whole in the beer and shotgun it because the beer was flowing so quickly.  Nowadays they have beer funnels.  So I thought it was an old school beer drinking, good time, hops infested adventure.  I had drank three beers before I realized I had this added feature.  The excitement came back like a wave of amber colored liquid called BEER.  I'm not a weak man but trying to pop that punch top miller lite can would be like trying to get Tim Tebow to have a beer with you or have him watch an R rated movie.  It was difficult. But when I finally got that beer free flowing it was smooth. So my final analyzation is that i love the concept and I hope you try it out but come prepared with a blow tourch, axe, and more beer.

Woodchuck Cider Review

I was at Beef O Brady's this past weekend with a friend of mine.  I was drinking miller lite and he was having bud light both from the tap.  We were watching the NFL draft and just talking sports.  There was an older guy sitting beside us at the bar we all started talking and we talked about a very important topic.  No not politics, religion, economy, or ex-wives, we talked about beer.  He was drinking woodchuck cider from the tap.  I was intrigued because i had never tried it.  Believe me i had my reservations.  He kindly asked the bar tender to give me and my friend a sample.  The bar tender was very gracious with an ample sample.  My buddy had a few sips and said it wasn't horrible but put his glass down without finishing.  Of course the beer whisperer fully engaged drinking up every drop.  The result is this.  It is a taste of sweet nature, that's not something i won't to include with my beer.  Would it pair well with certain food dishes, sure.  But I don't consider it a beer drinker's beer.  Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.  We all have different taste buds.  Special thanks to the guy that got me a sample of this beer.  Keep on drinking.

BEER DRAFT

With the draft coming up thursday it made me think what Beers I would draft and in what order.  This is the top ten beers that i would draft and how they would correlate as football players.  This isn't necessarily my top 10 beers of all time but just the ones I would relate to my beer team.

1. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale-This is a nice crisp all around beer that can be paired well with many different types of foods.  It's not a beer that would be my saturday beer that I would consume a whole bunch of but it is just a great tasting, refreshing beer.  With an ABV of 5.6% I take this as a well developed beer so this would be my QB.  I believe that if some QBs in the NFL would drink this it may would help them.  Not naming any names-Tebow, Tebow, Tebow.

2. Milwaukee's Best Light- This is a beer that you can drink a whole lot of and has a cheap price.  This is my offensive line and defensive line.  They can take a beating and keep on going.

3. Rolling Rock- This is a smooth beer with an awesom bottle.  Great beer for watching football games.  This would be my WR on my beer team.  Slender, sleak and great breakaway speed.

4. Pabst Blue Ribbon- This is a tried and true beer.  A classic that I believe most people have had the pleasure or displeasure of enjoying.  This is my teams running back and is there a more patriotic looking can out there.

5. Arrogant Bastard- At a 7.2% ABV this is one tough ass beer.  Linebacker is where he will be playing.

6. Dos Equis Amber- A great heavy tasting beer but very smooth.  TE all the way.

7.  Miller High Life- Again this a beer that has withstood the test of time.  Defensive End is where i would put it.

8. Bud Light Platinum- I gave a review of this beer earlier in my blog.  I was pleasantly suprised of the great smooth, crisp taste of this beer.  At a 6% ABV I believe it's tough and quick enough to play corner back.

9. Natural Light-  Kicker, not a fancy postition but one needed none the less and natural light is always there for you at an inexpensive price.

10. Coors Light-  Punter, it just seems like a punter kind of beer.

(ABV- Alcohol By Volume)

As always thanks for reading and remember don't drink too little.

Coldest Beer In Town

I see signs all the time at stores that they have the coldest beer in town.  This pisses me off.  Beer freezes at 28 degrees Fahrenheit.  I don't want a frozen beer.  So if their beer is frozen than they probably have the coldest beer in town but most people just want a cold beer.  I appreciate bars and stores that sell me beer.  I don't believe that you have to say you have the coldest beer just sell me beer.  Even if it's hot I'll buy it, a beer whisperer secret is that if you have a hot beer you can spin it on a bed of ice for 2 minutes and it will be cold.  Stores out there if you are listening just say this "we have beer", i promise people will come.  And always remember this put beer on ice if you can good times will follow.

Beer Easter

It's getting to be that time of the year.  Easter is coming up, do me a favor instead of hiding easter eggs hide beers.  This is for adults, hide a beer and you will know that it gets hot so the hunt will be on.  Where is my damn beer?  It will be intense but it will be worth it.  I recommend cheap beer for this exercise.  Have fun.  And let me know how your Beer easter hunt goes.  Please no violence.  Just Beer sweet beer.

Beer

The purpose of this blog is to convey the message of how much i love beer. Remember this "Beer is a great servant but a terrible master."  Enjoy with fun and get a designated driver when possible or just stumble home, which is always fun, unless you stumble to the wrong place and run into a stop sign literally.  I  am stereotypically a miller coors fan but tried Bud Light Platinum this past weekend. Incredibly smooth and the 6% alcohol amount is masked very good.  You get great flavor and an extra boost of alcohol for around 12 bucks a twelve pack.  It is a beer that you want to be careful with if your a novice beer drinker but either way good times will follow.  I recommend giving it a shot and please let me know what you think.
